Hi! I’m Rens, a puzzle box maker from the Netherlands.

All my life I have been obsessed with building. It started with LEGO, then moved on to woodworking, and later 3D printing. Alongside this love for creating, I’ve always had a passion for solving puzzles. That’s when I realised my passion for building and puzzling could come together in the art of designing mechanical puzzle boxes.

After creating, but never releasing, various puzzles, I wanted to build the ultimate puzzle box. Inspired by the codes, mysteries, and cryptography found in novels like Dan Brown’s thrillers, and with a degree in Mechanical Engineering to guide my work, I started designing. Now, nearly two years later, Time Traveler’s Artifact is finished.

I’m excited to get my puzzle out there and hope to build as many puzzle boxes as there are people ready to take on the challenge.
